- Eat smaller meals. An expert consensus on GLP-1 side effects recommends smaller portions, eating slowly, and stopping when you feel full.

When to Call a Doctor About Ozempic Sulfur Burps and Stomach Pain
Most sulfur burps are just annoying. But call your doctor right away if you have any of these, with or without burps:
- Severe stomach pain that will not go away, sometimes spreading to your back, with or without vomiting. The label lists this as a possible sign of pancreatitis and says to stop using Ozempic and call your provider right away.
- Pain in your upper stomach, yellow skin or eyes, fever, or clay-colored stools. The label lists these as possible signs of gallbladder problems, which have happened in some people on Ozempic. Tell your provider right away.
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea that does not go away. The label warns that fluid loss from these can lead to kidney problems.
- Stomach problems that are severe or will not go away. The label says to tell your provider. It also says Ozempic is not recommended for people with severe gastroparesis (a very slow stomach).
Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or trouble breathing is different: the label says to stop using Ozempic and get emergency help right away.
